WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR VISIT TO DR. DE LUNA’S CLINIC

I know everyone has questions about safety issues, inexpensive places to stay, good food, directions to the clinic ( click here for my recommendations ) - and pointers about how to have the safest and best Mexico experience, so that you can make the most of your trip.

On my dozen or so trips across the border at Piedras Negras I have never had a single incident or had any fear whatsoever in making the crossing. Dr. de Luna’s clinic is literally 100 yards across the plaza once you cross the border. His wife is more than happy to meet you at the border and walk you or even drive you the short distance to the clinic.

I can tell you first-hand, the best part of your visit is that you will be thrilled with the results of your treatment - within one hour. After the recommended three treatments per visit, you will not believe how great you feel!

Keep in mind, this IS Mexico. It is not all fancy and modern decor or American-ized. For me that is great, because I know I am not paying for all that when I pay my bill.

Your blood work will be done immediately and sometimes you will have the results the same day. No waiting for weeks. Dr. de Luna will discuss your other medical issues if you have them, in order to determine the best way to administer the IV, which will either be with saline or glucose.

Both my brothers are diabetic and have to use saline. I use glucose. Dr. de Luna will need to see your current medical records if you suffer from other diseases or issues, just the same as an American Dr. would want to see your history.

However, his determination regarding your arthritis will be what he treats. I never take anything with me since I am otherwise healthy and he is my rheumatologist. He will do a urine and a blood test on you just the way any Dr. would. The difference? It doesn’t cost an arm and a leg and you get the results immediately.

Once I was told by the Dr. that I needed to forget about my arthritis and start worrying about my cholesterol (also a family trait). They are thorough and meticulous about your health picture.

[note: btw, if you want to know how to lower your cholesterol without pharmaceuticals, let me know. I lowered mine from over 400 to normal in a year without changing my diet one bit - or taking pharmaceuticals (yes, I know my G-nome is not great!)]

It is only American arrogance that causes us to think less highly of medical treatment in other countries. After what I have learned I am not at all certain we have a leg-up on anyone, especially when one considers the greed that drives so much in our country.

Don’t get me wrong, I love America! I just get help for my arthritis in Mexico.

The product Dr. de Luna uses is manufactured in Mexico, although sometimes I have received product that was made in Germany. They are identical in potency and effectiveness.

This medicine is not a masking agent or a band-aid treatment. It is not a “pain killer” like morphine. It is NOT a steroid, as many people on the internet have claimed it must be. It is a medicine that helps reduce swelling around joints, and is so beneficial in other areas that it is being used in some countries to fight cancer, treatment for MS, and other debilitating diseases.

In spite of what you may read, it does not stink. There was a time when it did smell like garlic mixed with campho-phenique, but not for a very long time. The Germans refined that out of it years ago. It is a derivative of tree bark, scientific name: dinethyl sulfoxide

Give it a chance. You will be blown away after the first DMSO treatment and be sad you didn’t discover it before.

Beware: not all those who say they give this treatment are administering the same thing.

Firstly, American MD’s, even holistic doctors, cannot give you this same treatment. So, no matter what they tell you, their treatment with DMSO is not the same as you can get in other countries. It is against the law for them to do so in the U.S.

Secondly, not all potencies are the same. I found that out the hard way, by going to a different doctor in Tijuana (because it was convenient while I was on vacation in San Diego). I knew within minutes it was not as potent, but had to pay for the treatment anyway.

Dr. de Luna’s treatment is 100% potent and effective. It does its job. And the “little red pill” (the one that those of us in-the-know, KNOW we don’t want to be without!) is readily available by prescription. Dr. de Luna will get you as many as you need for use in between trips.

I see posts on the internet all the time about the mysterious little red pill we get in Mexico - with people asking: “How do I get it?” The little red pill is an extension of the DMSO treatment called Dorvasol, named after the doctor who came up with it (his name was Salvador and he simply rearranged the letters in his name in naming the pill). It is not a pain killer or a steroid. It is DMSO. And DO NOT expect to find it anywhere in America. You won’t. However, you can get it from Dr. de Luna and have no problem bringing them across the U.S. border. He will give you a prescription paper, so the border guards know what it is. They usually just wave me on when I tell them I’ve been to see Dr. de Luna.

Here the the charges for Dr. de Luna’s services:

3 days IV of DMSO - $780 USD

6 months supply of red pill (Dorvasol) - $160 USD
1 year - $320 USD

Lab test - $125 USD

Cashier’s check, money order, or cash (I personally do not recommend cash)

As I said earlier, all my trips to Dr. de Luna and Piedras Negra have been favorable experiences on every level.

I’ve returned safe, sound, and satisfied - and OUT OF PAIN!
